CHHANAR DALNA – BENGALI DELICACY FOR BANGLA NABOBARSHO

Ingredients

Chhana = 1kg, Onions = 150gms, Cashew nut = 100gms, Ginger = 50gms, Coconut = grated two table spoon, Curds = 100gms, Cream = two table spoon, Green chilly = 5gms, Coriander powder = 10gms, Garam masala = a pinch, Oil = 150 gms, Dhania pata(OPTIONAL) = FEW SPRIG, Salt = to taste, Raisin = 200gms

Method

1) press the chana proper so that there will be no water inside the chana,now knead it properly if needed add some flour& sprinkle some garam masala,sugar & little bit salt,now make small ball with the chana & if you wish you can put a raisin inside the balls of chana.

2)slice the onions & boil it & soaked the cashew nut in water at least one hr ,cut the ginger & make a paste of ginger.

3)now make a paste of boiled onion and cashew nut separately.

4) deep fried chana til golden brown.

5)heat oil, add boiled onion paste & ginger paste ,stir properly

6)add coriander powder ,when oil floats then add cashew nut paste and stir properly and again when oil floats add potatoes.

7) stir properly, add grated coconut, sprinkle garam masala & salt to taste

8)lastly add cream & chopped dhania pata for garnishing.

9)serve hot with paratha or luchi.
